Our Story

Word of Life Church is a church led by the Holy Spirit with a strong emphasis on teaching the uncompromising Word of God. God has placed a sincere heart in Senior Pastor Rob Rotola to equip the saints for the work of the ministry. Faith is awakened by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.

We began in what is now the groundZERO building in 1989 and soon grew into larger facilities. Word of Life North has several buildings and currently owns over 70 acers of land to facilitate the large vision. Plenty of fellowship and connection groups are available throughout the week in addition to our three Sunday Services. Word of Life has a Spanish Church on site a West Campus, and a Campus in Winfield, KS. We are following the Lord's leading to open several new campuses, all with the same vision.

At Word of Life our style of worship reflects our intense desire to worship God with our whole heart. You may see people clapping, joyfully singing, lifting hands, kneeling and at times dancing. We encourage all people to express their grateful heart toward God in whatever manner they are comfortable. Psalms 150:2 declares that we are to praise Him according to His excellent greatness. For He alone is worthy of our praise

Word of Life is a family church. Our desire to minister to all people from newborns on has led us to include in our ministry a Childcare and Pre-School Center, a K-12 Traditional School, a Counseling Center and Institute, a Church Planting Institute, Support Groups, Prayer and Bible Studies and numerous Creative Outreaches including ministering to the homeless, and the imprisoned.

We are blessed with an exciting Children's Ministry that teaches children to use their faith in all areas of their life. Our Youth Group known as "GroundZERO" is a solid, sold out to Jesus, group of young people. "GroundZERO" have their own building and meet every Wednesday night. Zelos is our Singles Ministry who also meet each Wednesday night in the newly renovated coffee bar venue at GZ.

In October of 2004, after much prayer, Pastor Rob heard the Lord say, "Vision 2020, bringing 20 million souls to Christ by end of year AD 2020." "If you will listen, I will show you how." The people of Word of Life have corporately adopted that vision and are excited, focused, & on fire for God to see it come to pass! To date over 330,645 first time converts are due to Vision 2020.
