“…In Spirit and in Truth”

A successful businessman once pulled me aside and said to me, “Tuck, I want to teach you two things about good business. Do Not Forget Them!  First, Good business is not about the money!!! It’s about good product, service, and the customers needs.” Then he said, “Now, here is the second thing you must know and never forget," Good business is all about the money!!!"  If you can’t make money at your business you will not remain in business.” 

There is wisdom and humor in this statement. In the same manner I would like to share with you two things that we believe make a good Bible College. 

First, a good Bible College not all about knowledge. The Bible says, “…Knowledge puffs up, but love edifies.” (1 Cor 8:1; NKJV) Our Senior Pastor Rob Rotola is always saying, “People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.” When I look back on my life, some of the biggest mistakes I have made in ministry were in “being right” and “exercising my knowledge”. Without love, without the compassion of Christ, knowledge is but a “gonging cymbol”. 

Now the second thing about a good Bible College is that it is all about the knowledge! God says, “…My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” (Hos 4:6; NKJV) We must know God’s Word in order that we may know Him. Intimacy with God begins with the knowledge of his word. We believe in the whole council of God’s Infallible Word. This same Word of God is man’s authority for living the abundant life in Christ Jesus our Lord. We are committed to being “…transformed by the renewing of our minds.” (Romans 12:2).   

Our call at Word of Life Bible College is to Edify, Equip, and Train leaders to minister with compassion and knowledge, wisdom and in power, and to worship Him and walk with Him “…in Spirit and in Truth.”
